Born in Wootton Bassett (now Royal Wootton Bassett), Wiltshire, England, 1955
I now live in 'The Midlands', Tasmania (summer residence) and Launceston, Tasmania (winter residence) when not traveling.
I was born in the market town of Wootton Bassett, and changed my name to Luther Blissett (I was formerly Crispin Piers Bartholomew Crispin) and I am a direct descendant of Miles Crispin (also known as Milo of Wallingford) and his wife Matilda.
I have rejected the traditions of my forebears and my responsibilities as landowner and gentleman, I changed my name and as a young man served in the Royal Air Force, travelling the world, before undertaking tertiary study and taking on various consulting roles.
I have worked as a freelance journalist, photojournalist and I have contributed to poetry anthologies under various pseudonyms. Currently in Tasmania I operate a consulting network aided by a number of associates and 'enablers'.
Shortly before my retirement, I initiated local support for and recognition of the repatriation of the bodies of 345 military personnel who had been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq. Following that work I developed a network of facilitators to support my journalism, consulting practice and my art making.
I have subsequently emigrated to be with my daughter in Tasmania, Australia and I carry on my practice via the Internet and underground social media in a 21st C context.
